Health :

The Podhale Sheperd is a rustic dog. Because of an extremely continental climate in its country of origin, Poland, he supports very well the important differences of temperature.
If it's too hot, then well, as everybody , he goes in the shade and wait until it's over!!!

  • It should be known that certain individuals can have significant sensitivities to the anaesthetic products. It is wise to announce it and insist near your veterinary surgeon if you must make practise an anaesthesia on a podhale
  • As much of races and great races, it is very likely to be prone to the dysplasy of the hip
   

A maximum of vigilance must be brought as for the choices of the reproducers which must be free of this disease in strongly hereditary matter
(a dog does not present a sign of dysplasy when the reading of the hips X-Ray gives a result A or B).

The quality of your puppy depends directly on the quality of the reproducers as well as of the quality of the selection of the ascending ones.
   

Care :
   

Apparently, Its coat is self-cleaning, it will be necessary nevertheless to take care of him by a weekly brushing, more in period of moult where the loss of hairs is very significant and to wash it at least once at twice to find again the sparkle of its white colour.

Breast feeding Novege and its puppies

The Podhale sheperd does not grow correctly with bread and milk!!! But with a high quality range of food.
  • Only one food is adapted, the industrial one because it is the only one at present which is perfectly balanced.
